How to Install Exchange Server

Exchange server is basically made for storing emails, but it can also store calendars, schedules, contacts etc. It is designed to meet the needs of all messaging and need for businesses of all sizes

Before installing the Exchange Server check whether your hardware supports the OS requirements and any other OS components installed.
Steps involved in the installation of Exchange Server are

1. First of all log on to the desired server where you want to install the Exchange then insert the Exchange Server CD ROM in the drive.
2. Open My Computer window and open the CD drive and locate the setup file. Installation wizard will be open.
3. Click next on the welcome page of the wizard.
4. Licensed page is opened showing you the license agreement. Read the agreement, if you are agree select “I agree” and click next.
5. The product identification page will ask you to insert the 25 digit product key. Insert the key carefully and press next.
6. On components selection page and in the column of actions use the drop down arrow to specify the action and press next.

7. Installation type page is open select the create a new exchange organization and press next.

8. Organization name page would be display asking you to enter the name of your new Exchange Organization. Enter the name and press next. Please note that the name should not exceed from 64 characters.

9. A licensed agreement page will display the agreement, read it and click I agree.
10. Again component selection page will show the actions and components select which is appropriate and click next.
11. Exchange installation summary page will display the summary of the installation and confirm the Exchange installation choices you given.
