You can also hold your cursor over a partition in the “Start Menu” for a moment in order to view its free space and capacity. You can execute a file just by single click on it in the Start Menu, and by double clicking to open a folder.
• You can get TCP/IP information in windows 2000 server. “WinIPcfg.exe” is file on which you relied upon in Windows 98, but in Windows 2000 Server this file is now called “IPconfig.exe”, and it is not based on a GUI anymore. Execute it from the command prompt and you will have your entire TCP/IP network.
• You can enable file and directory name completion for all command prompt sessions. Simple click “Start”, point to “Programs”, “Accessories”, then right click “Command Prompt” and select “Properties”. From the “Shortcut” tab in the “Target” box, write System Root “%\system32\cmd.exe /f:on” and click “OK”. Now the Command Prompt shortcut on the “Start” menu will now start “Cmd.exe” with File and Directory Name Completion enabled.
