Configure Internet Connection Firewall manually in Windows XP or Windows XP SP1
Lets starts configuration now:
- Press start button > click run > type control.exe netconnections in run box > press ok.
- Right-click the connection on which you would like to enable > click Properties.
- Go to the advanced tab > press the box to select the option to Protect my computer or network.
- If you want to enable the use of some applications and services through the firewall, you must enable them. For this purpose > click settings > click to select the programs, protocols, and services that you want to enable for the ICF configuration.
Disable Internet connection Firewall in Windows XP or Windows XP SP1
Before you disable your firewall, you must disconnect your computer from all networks, including the Internet. To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to control panel > double-click networking and Internet connections > click network connections.
- Now Right-click the connection on which you want to disable firewall > click properties.
- On the advanced tab > press to clear the protect my computer or network check box.
Enable Windows Firewall in Windows XP SP2
For enable firewall, you follow these steps:
- Go to start > press run, type Firewall.cpl in run box > click ok.
- On the General tab > click on > press ok.
Disable Windows Firewall in Windows XP SP2
Before you disable your firewall, you must disconnect your computer from all networks, including the Internet. To do this, follow these steps:
- Press Start, click Run, type Firewall.cpl > press ok.
- On the General tab, click off > press ok.
The firewall helps to protect your computer against hackers and also against malicious codes, computer viruses and worms.
