How to Create User Accounts in Windows XP

In this article you will learn that how to create user accounts in Windows XP. If a computer is being used by a number of users then it is important to create different accounts for the different users. Every user has it’s own profile, My documents, and desktop settings. After creating the account, you can configure it and set a password, change the picture, change the account type or delete the account.

Step 1. Click Start > Control Panel

Step 2. In the control panel, double click the “User Acocunts”.

 

Step 3. Click on Create a new account.

Step 4. Name the new account and click next button.

Step 5. Pick an account type.

 

Step 6. Press create account button.

You have successfully created a new user account in the Windows XP

Now if you want to configure it i.e. to change the name, password, account type and picture, you need to click on your account name and set the required options.
